For the past several years, I have “done” the Yoga with Adriene 30 Day Challenge that she shares every January for free on YouTube.  I put “done” in quotation marks, because the 30 day challenge usually takes me until the fall to complete.   Basically, I take a lot of breaks in between!  This year, I did skip a couple days here and there, but was able to finish it by the first week of February.  While I may not have… Read more »

One of the best holidays of the year is here…you guessed it, Galentine’s Day! As Leslie Knope from Parks & Rec described it, “Oh, it’s only the best day of the year. My beloved gold shoes that were bedazzled with jewels had one large one that kept falling off.  I would usually find (rescue) it, and engineer it back onto the shoe, but… Read more »

Hello, World! (or at least the 3 people who have mistakenly clicked on my blog page).   I have been Emily of Alexandria for almost 8 years. Before that, I grew up in Rhode Island and went to Penn State (WE ARE!). I decided to start this blog for a few different reasons. I’m thirty-one and I feel like it’s a transition stage for me. I recently got married to my handsome and goofy husband, Craig.  We’re in that state where we… Read more »
